A Fernandina Beach Roofing Company That Works Ahead of the Weather

We plan roof work around the calendar, not around the next leak. That means inspections and replacements in the calmer months, small fixes before summer storms build, and a careful look after weather passes, so your home starts each season with sealed flashing, sound decking and gutters that drain.

Why We Schedule by Season

Most roof failures we find did not start on the day of the storm. A cracked pipe boot, a shingle tab that never sealed or a rusted fastener lets in a little water for months. The plywood decking softens, the nails lose their grip, and then a strong gust lifts the weakened section. By the time a ceiling stains, the repair is larger than it needed to be.

So we work in order. Late winter and spring are for full inspections and roof replacement, when temperatures are warm enough for shingle sealant strips to bond and the daily afternoon thunderstorms have not settled in. Early summer goes to the smaller items we flagged: resealing step flashing at walls, replacing brittle boots, refastening loose ridge cap and clearing gutters so water leaves the roof edge. When a storm does come through, we offer a free post-storm inspection and tell you what changed since our last visit.

Material choice follows the same thinking. Salt air and coastal humidity corrode exposed steel faster than inland weather does, so we pay close attention to fastener coatings, drip edge and flashing metals. On metal roofing, we explain which panel finishes and screws hold up near the water and why the cheaper option can cost you a second visit.

How We Run Every Job

  • Photos before recommendations

Each inspection ends with pictures of what we found: valleys, vents, flashing and the eave edges where wind gets under shingles. You see the same evidence we do before we suggest anything.

  • A straight repair-or-replace answer

If your roof has good years left, we say so and price the roof repair. When decking is soft in several places or shingles have shed most of their granules, we show you why replacement costs less over time than repeated patching.

  • Insurance claims handled in order

On storm damage, we work directly with your insurance adjuster, meet them on the roof and point out what we documented. The adjuster decides coverage; our job is to make sure nothing gets missed.

  • A clean yard each evening

Tarps go over shrubs and beds before tear-off. A magnetic sweep picks up nails at the end of each day.

Where We Work

We look after homes across Fernandina Beach and the surrounding area, including Yulee, Hilliard and Nassau Village-Ratliff, north into St. Marys and Kingsland, and south to Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach and Jacksonville Beach. The schedule is the same wherever we go: inspections before hurricane season, repairs while the weather allows, and a follow-up look once a storm clears.

Get Your Roof Ready Before the Season Turns

Tell us what you have noticed, or just when your roof was last looked at. If a storm has already passed over your home, we come out to inspect for damage at no cost; if not, we walk the roof and price the work for free, with no obligation to go ahead. Financing is available on larger projects.
